March 18, 1998, Kat had her first foal - Frosty's Brenda.

Brenda was born at 6:30 Wednesday night, at feeding time. I was caught working late, and got home at 8PM. Brenda was on her feet, and nursed a few minutes later. This photo was taken at 9:00 the next morning. Brenda is growing straight and fast, and is quick at her basic lessons. Brenda is nursing in the new morning sun. Mama enjoys the shade.

August 8, 1998, Brenda is nearly 5 months now. She is inquisitive, and is bold about wanting to have her neck rubbed. She enjoys grooming.
We had our third hose-down bath last night, with a couple of mild evasions, but getting used to the noise of the spray.
Five months after foaling, I am starting to think about weaning Brenda -- so Kat doesn't get fat! We started Dr. Beth's oil diet about a month before foaling, and both are in good flesh.

Brenda taking a pose. Her coat color seems to vary according to the light. She has a small 1/2" white spot near the right top of her forehead, just a stray ... spot. I caught Pusch View's Katherin, Kat, in mid-sniff -- she had to be SURE there were no treats today.
